Plotting for Black Friday

It’s been awhile since my last post. Migraines and life have been kicking my ass lately. That’s not exactly helpful during Nano, but I’m still puttering along. I’m hoping that I can catch up on my word count this weekend. We’ll see how it goes.

I’m now on Pinterest and Facebook. I’ve included the links below. I’m not the best about posting regularly, but I’ve done way better with these, so far, than I ever did with my personal one’s and now I’ve become a bit addicted to Pinterest.

On another note, I’m getting ready for Black Friday. That’s the one day a year that I voluntarily wake up at the crack of dawn and don’t whine about it. (That’s a miracle, because I don’t do early.) I love shopping. I’ve seen so many good deals, I can’t wait to hunt for them. I’ve found a few things I’d like to have, but so many more gifts for friends and family. I’m a BIG gift giver. I tend to do it all throughout the year, not just Christmas time. As soon as I get my author act together, I’m sure the gift giving will spill into this area too.

So, I’m not only plotting my strategy for Black Friday, I’ve also got a plot for a new story floating around in my brain. This is one of my big weaknesses. I can plot/outline stories all day long. I’ve never had trouble with that. Sure I get stuck in a place or two sometimes, but a writing prompt or an interrogation usually fix that. I’ve only written two books all the way through after outlining at least a hundred stories. They have a lot of good stuff in them. They were just poorly executed, because I wrote them before I really started studying the craft of writing. I plan on revamping them in the future, because I really love both of the stories. I’ve written several small pieces this year, that I’ll really start editing in December.

After NaNo, I have a lot of fabulous plans for my stories. I really hope I can pull it all off. So, good luck to all the NaNo writers and Black Friday shoppers! Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving everyone!
